NAU Tennis & Aquatic Complex
Flagstaff, AZ
This facility is a single sloped clearspan structure that supports a trapezoidal structural standing seam roof system (CFR) as manufactured by Nucor Building Systems. This structure sits adjacent to a conventional steel structure that houses the aquatic half of the building. The walls are an architectural insulated sandwich panel that was supplied and installed by another subcontractor. The site that this project was built on was very tight; much coordination with other trades was essential for the timely completion of the building. To add to the challenge, the adjacent facilities were in operation for much of the construction process. The roof insulation system was an R-38 Optiliner system as supplied by Thermall Insulation.
